De Matsui is de lijn van uitzonderlijke Single Malts van Kurayoshi Distillery. Het assortiment bevat ook een op whisky gebaseerde Umeshu.

De Matsui Sakura Cask is een Single Malt gedistilleerd door de Kurayoshi-distilleerderij in de prefectuur Tottori. De Matsui Single malt wordt gerijpt in Sakura-vaten, de beroemde en iconische Japanse kersenboom. Deze boom neemt een belangrijke plaats in in de Japanse cultuur en wordt vaak gebruikt als metafoor om de kortstondige aard van schoonheid, maar ook van het leven als geheel te onderstrepen.

De Sakura is altijd een bron van inspiratie geweest voor Japanse kunstenaars. Dubbel gedistilleerd in Pot Still en vervolgens gerijpt in Sakura-vaten, in een natuurlijke omgeving die bevorderlijk is voor de rijping van spirits. Vervolgens wordt deze whisky gereduceerd met het natuurlijke bronwater van Mount Daisen. Een meesterwerk dat zorgvuldig met hart en passie is gemaakt door het Matsui-team!

Kleur: Lichtgeel

Geur: Rijk, vol en onderscheidend door witte bloemen en zachte en spicy tonen. Vanille en kaneel.

Smaak: Het ware karakter van deze spirit komt door naar een paar seconden. Een zeer bijzondere whisky, rijk, verwarmend en rechtdoorzee. 

Afdronk: Blijft goed in de mond hangen, zeer florale afdronk.
